Homemade natural glue
The term glue refers to one of the oldest and most versatile adhesives that is applied in liquid form and dries hard to hold materials together. It is part of our everyday lives.
In ancient times, people made their glues from whatever they found around them, such as sugar, fish skins, and animal bones boiled in water. So technically, true glue is made from organic compounds, however many products marketed as glue are in fact synthetic adhesives. These can contain hazardous solvents, plastics, and preservatives that are toxic by inhalation and skin contact, and some of them even classify as suspected human carcinogens.
No wonder, that as parents we are always on the watch to avoid our little ones licking their sticky fingers, trying not to even think of the ingredients they are inhaling while using a commercial glue.

Pack it to school, the office and keep some at home for crafts, presents and small repairs, because it works wonders on paper, cardboard, textiles, and even wood.
- 5 minutes of your time
- 60 ml water
- 1 teaspoon white flour
- 1 teaspoon corn starch
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- Boil the water
- Slowly add the white flour and the corn starch
- Cook and mix until thickens
- Remove from the stove and add vinegar
Storage & Use
- Store in a glass jar
- Keep at room temperature
- Will last for several months
